Manas tiger reserve is one of the
largest national parks in India , over
1000 sq miles in area. A visit to Manas
is highly recommended to the serious
wildlife enthusiasts. The park is home
to over twenty highly endangered species
of mammals and birds. The tropical rain
forests here make wildlife spotting a
little difficult but assure one of close
and exciting encounters with rare
animals like the clouded leopard
Common Animals
Elephant, tiger, leopard, clouded
leopard, golden langur, capped langur,
assamese macaque , slow loris , hoolock
gibbon , sloth bear , water buffalo ,
gaur , wild boar , rhino , hispid hare ,
pigmy hog , spotted/swamp/barking and
hog deer.
Common Birds
Minivets, bee-eaters, robins, bulbuls,
fowl , khaleej pheasant, marganser ,
giant hornbill and many more. |
